National Moth Night 2018
Moth Night 2018 will be held between 14th - 16th June. The theme is Pyralid Moths and it will be both a day and night event.

RSPB Ynys-hir. Marvelous Moths
'Seasonal' moths will be available to view in the mornings of the dates below between 9am and 11am, though we do sometimes over-run. Traps open from 9am.
These events usually take place on the car park but for anyone wanting to go on to the reserve, normal entry fees apply.

8th April 2018. Possibles - Red Chestnut, White-pinion Spotted, Early Tooth-stripe, Streamer, Peach Blossom, Lunar Marbled Brown.
27th May 2018. Possibles - Scorched Wing, Lobster, Ruby Tiger, Alder Moth, Blood-vein, Chinese Character, Eyed Hawkmoth, Pale Prominent, Snout, Oblique Carpet, plus many more.
24th June 2018. Possibles - Double-line, White Ermine, Willow Beauty, Barred-straw, Peppered Moth, Brimstone, Light Emerald, Poplar Hawkmoth, Elephant Hawkmoth, Southern Wainscot.
29th July 2018. Possibles - July High-flyer, Pale Prominent, Rosy Footman, Riband Wave, V-pug, Black Arches, Buff Arches, Pebble Prominent, Oak Hook-tip.
19th August 2018. Possibles - September Thorn, Copper Underwing, Iron Prominent, Flounced Rustic, Pebble Hook-tip, Setaceous Hebrew Character, Small Fan-footed Wave.
